Stephen C. Wagner
Stephen is the managing partner at Arc Gallery & Studios located at 1246 Folsom Street in San Francisco's SOMA neighborhood, featuring a 1,000 sq. ft. art gallery, a project galleries, an art education center, and ten renovated artist studios.
Stephen believes that the creative process contributes to a healthy quality of life, and that art provides an inexhaustible resource for exploration, reflection, and understanding. Each person has the capacity to respond to artwork in ways that challenge pre-conceived notions, stimulate fresh insights, and encourage deeper understanding. With these beliefs, Stephen has spent the last decade striving to bring art awareness to all by creating new art education programs, teaching art education techniques, teaching art classes, and advocating the arts.
Stephen encourages other artists to commit to their artwork and take the steps necessary to become more successful through his guest speaking on professional development for artists at art organizations throughout California. His lectures offer artists insight to jump-start their artist career, obtain clear focus on their intention for their artwork, create a strategic plan for their artist career, create an impressive artist portfolio website, and master the business of art. Stephen also provides one-on-one consultations with artists to develop strategies, goals, and actions plans.
Stephen C. Wagner has studied art since the age of six, including workshops at the Witte Museum, Trinity University, and private study, all in his hometown of San Antonio, TX. During his early years, Stephen showed his work in many venues, including juried shows, art fairs, coffeehouses, and art galleries. He obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington in painting and graphic communication. Stephen has exhibited and sold his art in galleries in London, Chicago, Dallas, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Laguna Beach, San Diego, Seattle, New Orleans, Palm Springs, Sun Valley, and Kauai. His artwork is included in the permanent collections of the Riverside Art Museum and the Museum of the Living Artist, and in the corporate collections of Johnson & Johnson and Kaiser Permanente.

Arc Gallery is dedicated to showcasing and promoting emerging and established artists from around the country whose work embodies both skill and risk-taking. Juried and curated group exhibitions are the primary means of showcasing, as well as discovering artists in a schedule of national exhibitions. Many artists who have submitted works to Arc juried shows have been given additional exhibition opportunities at Arc and other venues. Arc strives to promote artists with high standards of art who continuously explore new ideas through the visual media. - https://www.arc-sf.com |
